In spring of 2024, I had the unique opportunity to work with the high-profile Finnish metal band, Crownshift, as part of my role at Nuclear Blast Records. The task was to produce a lyric video for the band, but there were budget constraints to consider.

Instead of relying on stock footage, I decided to take a different route. I turned to AI technologies, specifically Stable Diffusion and Deforum, to create the visuals for the video. I took graphics from the band’s T-shirts and album campaign and animated them using AI, creating a journey-like experience within the visuals.

Everything you see in the video, apart from the song lyrics animation, was influenced in some way by AI + some mixed-media sequences, where piped a (Stable Diffusion) Animation into a crt and filmed that, before super-imposing that on another AI-Animation!

This project was a testament to the power of AI in creating unique and engaging content, even when faced with budget and resource constraints. It showcases my ability to leverage technology in innovative ways to deliver high-quality results.
